The year was 1999.

Riding a complex wave of minor personal triumphs, gross miscalculations and dumb luck, Greg Genovese and Tim Baxter embarked on a journey that was equal parts dick-swinging bodacity and humbling timidity. THE BLUE BLOODS were born a cacophonic racket, in TJ Welch’s Malden basement on a hot July night. Fast forward 15 years, now a super-group, comprised of the A-listers from Boston’s C-List hardcore punk set, these wild-eyed romantics march on, explosive, erudite and energetic, busting out hard-hitting, almost anthemic songs. Emphasizing hooky guitar work and raw, melodic vocals, they aptly synthesize their influences, Minor Threat, The Misfits, SSD, Slapshot, Black Flag, Bad Religion, Social Distortion, The Bouncing Souls and a zillion others.
